Never Let Me Go

i went to go see this last sunday as part of the leeds film festival. it was one of the best films ive seen in a long time it was so beautifully shot and i loved the contrasting sci fi aspect with the old school. I was really inspired by their uniforms i love the fact they didnt all look the same or wear the same thing but you could see it was a uniform. I am really inspired by this almost controlled/structured way of dressing i love the neatness of it!

i am reading the book at the moment and i think it is really amazing and i do wish i had read it first but i couldnt resist going to see the film!

Today we went to the west yorkshire playhouse costume department to draw and take photographs of the costumes but for most of this day i just tried on all the fancy dress clothes.

Tailoring Module

Today we started our tailoring module i am really excited but i do know it will be a lot of work. Today we did hand sewn hems and hand made button holes and next week we're are setting in a sleeve so we have to have all our blocks done and cut out a bodice so it will be a busy weekend i feel.

Demolition 10.11.10 - Protest

I went to the protest today in London and thought it was really amazing i was so pleased to be trying to do something about the fees increasing. i was upset when it starting becoming violent as i knew it was going to take the attention away from the fact 50,000 people had turned up and tried to be peaceful and change the governments mind. I have photos to follow but need to get the film processed!
