Drawing

For college we had to do drawing and i found it really hard but it was good for me to experiment with different mark making and experimental drawing, such as closed eyes, continuous line and drawing with the opposite hand. i found the continuous line the easiest and it created the best drawings as i found it easier to get into and relax. i was really pleased with the drawing above as i like the way the fabric falls. the image below is a continuous line drawing which i really like as it's so loose and creates a really good feel and texture especially in the glove.

i really like the detail of the textures in the drawing below espeically in the knit dress. i think this was helped by practising textures on the second day of the drawing week. i enjoyed working with ink as i found it loosened my drawing up. i really liked making a definite shape and then working into it.

this image below is one of my favourite drawings i have done although i wish i had worked in pencil first as i made a couple of mistakes and wish that i could have rubbed them out, although i really like the fact it is in biro as i work well and make stronger lines.

i found this week really hard as i really had to focus and this was the first time i had done proper drawing since my foundation but i think it has really benefited me and i feel pleased with my outcomes. although i did find the textures really hard to draw but i have improved a lot.
